Welcome:
Front Street Baptist Church: A Global Missions Center
Front Street Baptist Church is seeking to make a difference in our world.
Take a look at this website to see how you can be involved in sharing Jesus with
a lost world.
Declare His glory among
the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples
(1 Chronicles 16:24, NIV)
The Great
Commission is "The Mission"
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Acts 1:8 is the
strategy of the Church "on mission"
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and
to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

GOAL SURPASSED!!!
We set a goal to raise at least $2,800
during our 2008 Global Missions Celebration to adopt a village in
Bihar, India. This will provide a
well, literacy training, a bicycle for a church planter (whom we will
sponsor), 200 Bibles, hymnals, and a medical clinic. To date, we
have raised enough money to sponsor TWO villages. To God be the
glory! Facts about Bihar, India
* Population of 85 million people with over 45,000 villages
* One of the poorest states in India (major problems include very
poor health care, high infant mortality, access to clean water and
almost a 50 percent illiteracy rate)
* Less than ½ of 1 percent of the people in Bihar are Christians

The Acts 1:8 Challenge is an opportunity
for our church to declare our commitment to a comprehensive missions
strategy in our community (Jerusalem), state (Judea), continent
(Samaria) and world (ends of the earth). In doing so, we invite our
denominational Acts 1:8 partners – the South Yadkin Baptist Association,
the Baptist State Convention of NC, the North American Mission Board,
and the International Mission Board – to assist us. Further, we develop
relationships with missionaries and ministries in each of these areas,
covenanting to partner with them in praying, giving, and going.
